About the Band

In addition to the normal pub circuit, the band in their various guises have played and main staged at many festivals and top venues, some of which are listed below. Originally a blues band, the outfit have evolved in response to Audience requests, and now play classic Rock. (Although they can of course blues it up on request!) Their set includes songs by:

Dr Blue / Dr Rock normally go out as a powerhouse trio, being joined occasionally by harmonica ace Ryan Mitchell-Smith  for special gigs by prearrangement.
 
 
On lead guitar and vocals Dr Rod hails from the North East, and is well known and respected as one of the top guitarists in the area, Rod's gritty vocals also hallmark the band. Dr Rod Factoid: Grew up with Vic Reeves and Chris Rea, who used to serve him coffee in his dad's cafe...

Dr Dave on bass guitar and vocals is a Yorkshire Institution..although some say he should be IN one..Joking aside, a solid, top class bass player with a degree in sardonic humour. Dr Dave Factoid: Formerly bassist in The Pete Mitchell-Smith Blues Crew with whom he did a live show on BBC's Paul Jones Blues Show.

Doc Martin is a brilliant drummer, powerful but subtle. Learned his trade in the band Velvet Blue, playing illustrious venues such as Batley Variety Club and Wakefield Theatre Club supporting names such as Freddie Starr. Doc Martin Factoid: Has depped with Hermann's Hermits and The Ivy League.

Gobiron Ryan, a multi-instrumentalist but best known as the best harmonica player around, bar none. Joins the band on rare occasions now due to other commitments, but always adds a very special icing to the cake. Ryan Factoids: Holding a First Class Honours Degree in Popular Music, Ryan has performed at The Albert Hall.
